PLEASE NOTE

1- In the absence of any lifting marks, we will use our best judgment. No liability can be accepted for any consequential damage.

2- No craft will be hauled out/stored unless all Foresails are removed.

3- If your boat is not on Waiting Pontoon at the time agreed with the Bosun/Office, your boat will be towed, and you will be charged.

4- Please ensure cradle is labelled with the boat name and label is clearly visible.

I hereby instruct Poole Yacht Club to carry out the work detailed above, and I have read and agreed to the Terms and Conditions of Haul Out/Storage and Relaunch

CONDITIONS AND TERMS OF HAUL OUT/STORAGE

1. Subject to space availability, The Club to handle Members craft lifting needs, endeavouring to meet owner’s requirements/expectations when possible.
2. Applications for Haul Out & Storage will be dealt with on first come first served basis.
3. Except for Wooden Hulled Craft (12 weeks) the length of time in the yard is for a maximum of 6 weeks October – February (incl.) or 4 weeks March and April. Long Term Storage (min. 20 weeks, max. 22 weeks) will be allocated subject to availability.
4. Those vessels exceeding their allocated time will be penalized as per General Committee Policy.
5. All vessels must have suitable support cradles or must be supported by stable rigid blocking approved by the Yard and Haven Committee. Cradles should be in the Yard, clearly named and ready to accept vessels and reported to the Bosun no more than one week before notified Haul Out date. ALL cradles and means of support must be removed from the Yard immediately when the boat is launched.
6. Members must endeavour to keep the Car Park/Area around their craft clean and ensure that no damage is done to the Car Park surface. All rubbish must be removed from the yard, including sweeping up any mess in their area.
7. All work to be undertaken on craft by outside contractors must be cleared with the office BEFORE work commences. All outside contractors must report to the office before starting work on craft on Club premises and show Proof of in date Indemnity Insurance and a working risk assessment where necessary.
8. Members must maintain an efficient working order, at least one suitable Fire Extinguisher.
9. The Club and its employees accept no responsibility for loss, damage or delay occurring from any cause whatsoever, All belongings for the vessel, tools or other are the sole responsibility of the member.
The owner must therefore ensure that his craft and/or property is adequately insured against all risks and effect insurance against Third Party risks for a minimum of £3,000,000 as he may be liable for damage caused by his craft, himself or his crew whilst on or about the Clubs premises. The member is responsible for all health and safety issues concerning their boat whilst on the hard and the Club accepts no liability after the craft has been blocked off by the yard staff. All persons using any part of the Club premises and/or facilities for whatever purpose and whether by invitation or otherwise do so at their own risk, the exception to this clause being to the extent that such loss, theft or damage may be caused by the negligence or wilful acts of the Club, or those for whom the Club are responsible.
10. The method of hauling any craft shall be at the sole discretion of the General Committee.
11. All craft (Winter Period) must be launched by Friday 28th March 2025, the Committee reserve the right to withdraw Haul Out/Re-Launch facilities from members who in their opinion do not endeavour to meet the Haul Out/Launch conditions.
12. Haul Out/H.P.C./Re-Launch programme operates Monday to Friday inclusive, excluding Bank Holidays
13. The Club reserves the right to measure all boats to confirm compliance with Haven Byelaw 9.
14. Any vessels found to be in excess of the allowable overall lengths will be referred to the General Committee.
